Nano – biotechnology Course

1. How would you apply the knowledge & skills that you have learned throughout this course for your future?

One of the most impressive lectures of this program for me was emergency & disaster control system of Japan. In disaster situation, medical system stands against totally different situations. This lecture tossed me Questions like ‘How we could control/care overwhelming number of people needs help under disaster?’, ‘How should we distribute medicines or available cares?’, ‘Is it right to using every task force & medicinal supply for hopelessly injured man in disaster?’ We must own answers for these questions in medical community, also sort of protocols to response disaster immediately and avoid chaotic situations. As a pharmacist, I want to spread this idea to Korea.

2. Is there anything that may change your view towards Japan – Korea relationships after spending  some time in Okayama University?

The relationship between Japan and Korea getting worse these days – But it is also global trends that countries taking their own line – but I saw the people in Japan really love peace. As same as people in Korea. There were several lectures pointing out conflicts between Japan and Korea which were kind of ‘hiding’ topics on purpose for me. These issues are the biggest wall between Japan and Korea and even now I cannot find answers to them. Should we hide it just as I did or should we open up those issues? Lectures we had couldn’t give us answer of ideas as well. However, change of my view, both people in Japan and Korea want cure that issue. We want open our hearts to get along with each other. Live in peace together. I saw many people in Japan learn and concern about our issues. And I and people in Korea will do as well.

3. Please give us some programs in this course that you have enjoyed?

All programs were really interesting and great. Visiting Okayama University Hospital and its pharmacy department as a graduated pharmacy student, I learn and compare school of pharmacy on Okayama university was very unique experience. And it was brain refreshing times having social science  (humanics) field lectures. And one of the most, because of spare times between lecture and end of day programs. It feel like living in Okayama not a trip or studying abroad. Studying bit of the Japanese language and talking with native people in Okayama (with the power of Google translator of course) was another side of great experience with CAMPUS Asia program.
