What I saw and felt in Okayama University
My name is Sun Zhengwei.I come from China, majoring in law in Faculty of Law of JiLin University. Thanks for the time I spend in Okayama University,in Japan. That is really a beautiful experience. What I gain is not only a quiet life but also the research in my professional field.
First,I have spent five months in Okayama University,in Japan. It is not a long time, but enough to get know some faces of Japan, which country has given me a lot of surprises. There were a lot of activities organized by the office of Campus Asia of Okayama University, and I saw a lot and learned a lot though these activities.I saw clean streets, friendly people and comfortable life.I saw the clothes the Japanese wear,he food they cook, the architectures they build, the services they provide, the tings they focus on,the sprit they have. Many non-Okayama people told me they love living in the small city which is in the southwest of Japan. The people who live on this land show me a cute image. They value their own culture and history, and do all the things they can to protect the precious heritages their ancestor leaves. They absorb the unique west country culture, and try all their best to put them into their own`s.They did and is doing a great thing.
Second,My research field is company law.I focused the most time in Okayama University on the research of Japanese Company Law.What I pay the most attention to are the internal and external reasons why Japan amended the company law in a large scale in 2005,what effort had been made to adapt the social change and development, and the function of the company law in promoting the domestic stability and shaping the national character.
Third, the political environment the Japanese live in is charming. The most impressive face of it to me is the awareness of people and the ecological environment of ruling by law.The ordinary people do not care about politics, and leave it to the Constitution and the law system, and avoid to be involved into the political disputes. So we see a political image like this:the politicians who is in charge Japan changes frequently, but the society is stable all the time.It is a characteristic of a mature and developed country.
At last, again, thanks for the chance the Okayama University gave me,and thanks for the experiences I have had.I really appreciate it.
